O God, you are my God; eagerly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you, my flesh faints for you, as in barren and dry land where there is no water. (Psalm 63:1)

Your way, O God, is holy; who is as great as our God? (Psalm  77:13)

Send forth your strength, O God, establish, O God, what you have wrought for us. (Psalm 68:28)

Grant me, Lord, not to be anxious about earthly things, but to love things heavenly; and even now, while I am placed among things that are passing away, to hold fast to those that shall endure; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

O God, who on the day of Pentecost taught the hearts of your faithful people by sending to them the light of your Holy Spirit:  Grant me by that same Spirit to have a right judgment in all things, and evermore to rejoice in his holy comfort; through Jesus Christ your Son my Lord, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
