Who Is My Neighbor – Ted Egly
Sunday 05.27.07

Setlist:
Blessed Be Your Name – Tree 63
Tell The World – Hillsong United
You Are My King – Passion Band
Everlasting God – Lincoln Brewster
If Everyone Cared – Nickelback *****

Who is your neighbor? Ted took a look at the story of the Good Samaritan. Who is it that you find difficult to love? Maybe even someone who you can’t even bear to say their name. Maybe they cheated you or betrayed you or hurt you in some way. You can grow past this – admit it and own it.

summerserve.jpg

Every summer we do our best to give some of our children’s ministry volunteers a much needed break (some have been serving every week since September). To do that, we need your help serving in one of our children’s ministry environments three times this summer – once in June, July, and August! Or, whenever you can!

Please consider jumping in by signing up at the Info Counter on Sunday.

Who Moved My Cheese? by orchardblog

I recently read the book Who Moved My Cheese by Spencer Johnson.

This is a short, humorous, easy to read book that helps you understand, deal with, and even ENJOY change.

The bottom line is that change is always happening and if we notice it, we can be better prepared!

If you are a person who hates change, read the book for a fresh perspective.

By the way – there’s a great picture book version entitled Who Moved My Cheese for Kids!

Confessions. . . Choosing To Cheat
Sunday 04.29.07

Setlist:
All To You – Lincoln Brewster
Everlasting God – Lincoln Brewster
Dirty Little Secret – The All-American Rejects*****

Message highlights:
We need to redirect our cheating (taking time and attention from one thing and putting it on another). We need to begin by making a DECISION to not cheat our families. We need to DEVELOP a plan by clarifying our commitments by asking: 1)What is my nonnegotiable, and 2) What change would my spouse most like me to make in regards to my schedule? We then need to DELIVER – what’s the best way to get from where I’m at to where I need to go?

Take Home:
What do I struggle to juggle?
Do I work to support my family, my ego or both?
Do I ever use my good intentions and heartfelt love as a cover for my absence?
What is my next step?
